A 12 mile loop trail in Appomattox is overall relatively flat, easy to follow and a good trail for riders of all ability.
Blackwater Creek has a few trails that will give any hard core mountain biker a run for their money.
Peaks View Park also offers several trails from beginner to advanced.
There are also a multitude of trails in George Washington and Jefferson National Forests.

Lynchburg is home to a new “state-of-the-sport” skate park…the only concrete skate park in Virginia.
Marathons
The Virginia 10-Miler: Sponsored by BB&T, this internationally recognized race brings world-class runners including marathon winners, Olympic medalists and local citizens to the Hill City. The event is held every year in September.
ATV Riding
There are 25 miles of ATV trails located just west of the Blue Ridge Parkway on Rt. 130 in Amherst County.
